ETS were today advised that Entel are to launch a Submersible
PMR446 radio, the HT446, a Mobile Transceiver, the MD400
and a new generation of the HX400 series radio.
HT446 License Free Submersible Radio
Unlike the majority of PMR446 products currently on
the market, HT446 is no throw away toy. Built in the
same casing and to the same IP67 submersible specification
as the HT700 and HT600 series, the HT446 is capable
of being submersed in up to 1 metre of water for up
to 30 minutes. With an incredible 24 hour duty cycle
the HT446 knocks the spots off any other 446 radios.
Enabled features are accessed by simple menu driven
selection, including all CTCSS/DCS tones, built in voice
scrambler, voice activation, scanning, vibrate and 20
individual call alert tones. Using lithium ion technology
there will be no more dreaded memory effects, just a
full 24 hour duty cycle each and every time you collect
your radio from the charger.
Such a full and complete specification is something
that Entel’s closest competition can only dream
of.
MD400 Mobile Transceiver
Ideal for use as a desk top receiver or a mobile unit
in a vehicle Entel will soon offer a feature rich mobile
transceiver. Complete with 2/5 tone selcall, lone worker,
emergency signalling, missed call list, scan, VOX, password,
scrambler, stun/unstun, backlight, programmable buttons
and channel naming, the MD400 fills a niche in the Entel
range. (no picture yet available)
New Generation HX400
Starting immediately the new generation of HX400’s
programmable features are being launched by Entel. Allowing
software to be “built” onto a basic unit,
you will be able to pick and choose the complexity of
your unit depending on the requirements of your business.
Future features will include a 60 entry, 8 character
contact list, 255 channels, define channel at switch
on, up to 7 tone selcall, 16 decode id’s, ANI
on switch on or first PTT, auto-reset time up to 255
seconds, lone worker with a 255 minute maximum. Ultimately,
the HX400 will also be able to support a graphic display
and man down.
