Morecambe Metals Ltd, the scrap metal recycling experts based in Morecambe, Lancashire, have moved to further enhance their driver safety by adding the RoadHawk DC2 Dashcam to their vehicle tracking provision.

Having used our SpotOn Vehicle Tracking for over five years, Morecambe Metals understand the benefit of using telematics technology to monitor their fleet of heavy goods vehicles. By introducing the RoadHawk DC2 camera to their vehicle fleet, they can not only be alerted to driving events, they can also watch them back in HD via captured video footage.

DC-2-no-fill

The RoadHawk DC2 works on a loop recording system, overwriting the oldest files as it records.  If it detects an impact, the camera creates an ‘event’ file which can be watched back and provided as evidence in the event of a ‘non fault claim’.

Dee Dalzel, Transport Manager at Morecambe Metals added “We trust our drivers and to ensure their safety and our support, for less than £8.00 per month we concluded that Roadhawk cameras were imperative!”

Roadhawk are the longest established seller of Forward Facing Vehicle cameras in the UK and are part of Trakm8 Holdings Plc along with Box Telematics Ltd.

Our exclusive camera rental scheme allows companies to introduce this emerging technology without any large capital outlay and with the option to link the cameras to compatible vehicle tracking units ensures that we can provide an ‘all in one’ fleet management solution.
